Jasmine Smith
Jasmine qualified as a social worker in 2008 and has worked in children and young peoples’ services for a considerable amount of time, as well as having experience of working within mental health services. She has a wealth of experience of assessing and reporting on the needs of children, young people, their families and carers. She has also worked within mental health services, with adolescents, as well as working age adults and their carers. She has a wide knowledge base of Social Work theories, methods and research, child growth and human development as well as child trafficking; having studied at postgraduate level. I have a proven track record of providing exemplary levels of service to a broad range of clients, including service providers and multi-agencies. She currently works as an independent social worker completing assessments and reports for local authorities, solicitors and private court cases. The fields she specialises in are mental health, children and family work; as well as immigration.
Laurence Chester
Laurence qualified as a Social Worker in 1995 acquiring a MA in Social Work in 2015. He has over a decade of experience in working with both children and families and wide-ranging experience in working intensively and extensively in various statutory roles, more recently as an independent social worker. He has experience of producing court statements and giving evidence on complex cases including immigration and asylum matters. He regularly works as an independent social worker producing reports for use in legal proceedings including; child, family and immigration cases. Assessing the best interest of children and their families is an integral part of his work.
Charlotte Opie-Greer
Charlotte qualified as a social worker in 2013 and has worked in children and young peoples’ services for the past ten years. She has a wealth of experience of assessing and reporting on the needs of children, young people and their families having worked in child protection, child in need, youth offending and looked after children teams. She has experience of completing Initial Child and Family Assessments, Parenting Assessment, Risk Assessment, Section 7 reports, Viability Assessments, as well as Child Protection and Child in Need reports. She has experience of working with individuals receiving support with end of life care, homelessness, substance misuse and learning disabilities. She has experience of being the assessing social worker in Merton compliant age assessments and has acted as an appropriate adult in accordance with Police & Criminal Evidence Act 1984. She currently works as an independent social worker completing assessments and reports for local authorities, solicitors and private court cases. The fields she specialises in are the best interests of children, children and family work as well as age assessing and immigration.
Nikki Austin
Nikki qualified as a Social Worker in 2011 with an MSc in Social Work. She has experience within the criminal justice and social work sectors and a proven track record of providing exemplary levels of service to a broad range of clients, including working with individuals with Autistic spectrum disorder, adults with physical disabilities, children, young people and families, within different settings. Her experience has enabled her to focus on assessing the risk, needs and best interest of children, young people and also adults. She has also worked with asylum seeking families and young people; supporting them as they arrive in the county, settling them into accommodation, assessing their needs and best interests with regard to safety, risk, vulnerability and emotional wellbeing. She has also supported young people through the asylum process by attending interviews with solicitors and the Home Office. She has experience of being the assessing social worker in Merton compliant age assessments and have acted as an appropriate adult in accordance with Police & Criminal Evidence Act 1984.
Zoe Horton BA (Hons)
Zoe qualified as a Social Worker in 2009 acquiring a First Class BA Honours in social work in 2010. She has extensive experience in working with both children and adults. She has experience in working with a wide range of client groups including, learning disability, mental health, forensic, physical disability, brain injury and looked after children. She has worked as a Form F Assessor within the speciality of Fostering. She currently specialises in the assessment of individuals suffering with Autistic Spectrum Disorder and regularly works as an independent social worker producing reports for use in legal proceedings. Her area of expertise also includes preparing assessments and reports for child, family and immigration cases. Assessing the impact of learning disabilities and mental health difficulties upon sufferers and their families is an integral part of her work.
Angeline Seymour BA (Hons)
The founder of Social Work Reports, Angeline has worked as an Approved Social Worker specialising in Mental Health as well as older people, child and family work. She specialises in mental health and forensic cases, Merton Age Assessments, immigration and Best Interest assessments under Deprivation of Liberty safeguards. She holds the PQSW and has completed the Cardiff University Law School Bond Solon Family Expert Witness Certificate encompassing Family Law and Procedure.
